Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of the Zobam platform. By accessing and using our services, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the Platform.

Community-Based Trade by Barter Only

1. Local Trade: Zobam is designed for bartering of pre-loved items strictly within our community. This promotes trust, accessibility, and ease of exchange.
2. Meeting Locations: Arrange to meet sellers or buyers in safe, open, and public spaces, such as a market square or a busy central location like a city center bus park. Avoid meeting at night, in private residences, or in secluded areas. Your safety is our priority.

Transaction Guidelines

3. Waybill Transactions: If a barter trade requires waybill, do not send money. Insist on paying the driver when you receive the item.
4. Avoid Cash Transactions: Zobam encourages barter transactions of pre-loved items using coupons. This is to reduce the risks associated with financial fraud or theft.
5. Be Wary of Unrealistic Offers: If a deal appears too good to be true, exercise caution. Investigate thoroughly to ensure it is legitimate.
6. Disclaimer on Negligence: Zobam is not liable for any consequences arising from your failure to adhere to these safety guidelines.
7. Disclaimer on User Conduct: Zobam is not responsible for the actions or behavior of other users of the Platform.

Preloved Items and Zobam Coupons

8. The Purpose of the Platform: Zobam’s mission is to connect individuals interested in exchanging preloved items—items that you no longer need and are willing to pass on without monetary profit.
9. How to Earn Zobam Coupons: There are primarily five ways to earn Zobam coupons:
   • When you signup on the Zobam platform, you will instantly receive 10,000 Zobam Coupon bonus.
   • On every Friday morning, you will receive additional free 10,000 Zobam coupons automatically disbursed to you. This weekly disbursement is based on certain conditions as discussed in the next section.
   • When you give out your pre-loved items or excess inventories, you earn Zobam coupons.
   • When you support us on our mission to run this project, you will earn the equivalent of your Naira donation in Zobam coupons plus 30% extra.
   • When you perform some simple tasks on our Telegram community, you will also earn Zobam coupons.
10. Weekly Coupons Disbursement: In other to keep inflation in check on the Zobam platform, our system is designed in such a way that users must meet certain requirements in other to qualify to receive the free weekly 10,000 Zobam coupons.
    • You must login at least once within a week.
    • Your Zobam balance must be less than 30,000.
    • If your Zobam balance is more than 30,000 but less than 40,000, you will only receive what is necessary to cap it to 40,000.
    • All users who do not login at least once a week, will not receive their weekly disbursement even if they meet the second and third conditions.
    • All users with Zobam balance above 40,000 do not qualify for the free weekly disbursements.
11. Use of Coupons: When you give away your preloved item A to someone who needs it, you receive Zobam coupons. These coupons (together with the ones freely issued on a weekly basis) can be used to acquire item B from another vendor who no longer needs their item B. This innovative trade by barter system fosters a cycle of giving and receiving within the Zobam community, promoting sustainability and goodwill.
12. No Profit Motive: Zobam Coupons are solely intended to facilitate the exchange of pre-loved items and excess inventories within the Zobam community and do not in any way or form represent real monetary value in Naira. Any user or groups of users attempting to use the Zobam coupons outside of the Zobam ecosystem will be permanently banned!
13. KYC Verifications: If we are to build a safe, honest and transparent platform which is undoubtedly our top priority, then KYC is mandatory and must be paid for by you. We are not a fintech company that offers free verification while relying on recurring service charges to recover KYC verification expenses. While many verification companies charge up to a dollar for verification, we strived to acquire the services of a company that will be affordable for our users.
14. Trading Access: Verified/verification pending users have unfettered access on the Zobam platform. On the other hand, unverified users can receive Zobam coupons but are restricted from sending, trading or bidding on items with their Zobam coupons.
15. Fraud Alert: Consolidating of Zobam Coupons by registering multiple accounts is strictly forbidden. We have a fraud-detection algorithm that detects unsual user account activities. Once any account is flagged, we will swing into action and decisively deal with the culprit. Please be warned!

General Disclaimer

16. Zobam acts solely as a platform to facilitate connections between users. We do not guarantee the authenticity, quality, or safety of items exchanged.
17. Users are responsible for conducting due diligence before completing any barter transaction.
18. Users are 100% responsible for whatever items they post on our platform. Illicit items or substances, porn and other related immoral items posted on our platform will attract an outright ban and possible report to the proper authorities. Be warned!
19. By listing an item on Zobam, you agree that you no longer need your preloved item; that it is either destined to be trashed or given away without any real monetary profit in return.
20. Zobam is NOT your normal eCommerce website where you list new items hoping to make real monetary profit part of which will be used to restock your shop. Be warned! Zobam is explicitly for barter transactions of pre-loved items and excess inventories - items you would gladly trash or give away without expecting real monetary profit. It's your duty to read these terms and conditions. Good luck trying to import goods from China with Zobam Coupons!

Acceptance of Terms

By using Zobam, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply may result in suspension or permanent termination of your access to the platform.

Modifications

Zobam reserves the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Users are encouraged to review them regularly for updates.
